Godaddy.com is probable the largest domain registrar in the industry, and I have hundreds of domain names registered with them. To pay for my domain registrations I have some kind of Paypal subscription. Whenever I order services from godaddy, I automatically pay for them using the paypal account on file. When you register a new domain with Godaddy, apparently a service called Auto-Renew goes into effect by default. Meaning that after the registration period, the domain would be renewed automatically for you.
